LS Extra Curricular Activities 2008-09
ECA's are very important part of life at CDNIS. The school strives to offer a rich programme that develops the whole student. We have over 200 activities on offer throughout the year. We are proud to offer arts and craft, sports, music, drama, games and many other activities. ECA's at CDNIS are diverse and meet the needs and interests of all students.
This year, students will sign up for the whole year in early September through our new online sign up system. Students have been assigned a Student ID number that your homeroom teacher will send home with your child and you need this ID number to log into the ECA Sign up System. Please check with your child's homeroom teacher if you have not received your child's Student ID number.
ECA's have been divided up into 2 Sessions for the academic year 2008-09
Teacher Activities A (Prep to G. 2) and B (G. 3 to 6)
which last 10 weeks each. September to December and February to May.

Sign Up's
This year you will sign up your child by using the Online Sign Up Form. The Sign Up form will become active on September 1 to September 4th only.

During the first week of school your child's homeroom teacher will send home your child's Student ID. Please keep this on file as it is your child ID for all school purposes. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher for the ID number. This number will not change year to year.

Important Instructions:
Parents are expected to make all choices for the academic year 2008-09 by September 4, 2008 by using the online sign up form. You need to obtain your child's student ID number from their homeroom teacher. No late submissions will be accepted for session 1 activities.
If parents would like to make changes after September 29, 2008 then there will be an administrative fee attached to the change.
Fees for Additions/Cancellations and Changes
The fees are as follows;
1. Changing a course after the class has begun $300 (any course)
2. Withdrawing from a course after it has begun- $500 fee plus cost for all classes attended for paid ECA's and $300 for teacher activities
3. Signing up for Session 2 Activities after September 5th, $300 fee
Canceled Dates:
The general rule for ECA's is IF YOUR CHILD IS IN SCHOOL and the ECA is scheduled to run that day, THEN THE ECA IS ON. If there is a special cancelation then you will be informed.

Confirmation Process
Once you have completed your online sign up form and it has been entered in to the school's data base the following will occur.
1. You will receive an email stating what choices you have made for both sessions soon after you make your choices.
2. You will receive a second email by Spetember 11, 2008, stating what activities have been assigned to your child. Once this second email arrives you need to send in a cheque to the school by October 1, 2008. The cheque needs to include, Child Name, Activity Name/s and Code/s and Date submitted.
Potential Choir Members:
Potential choir members should not to sign up for ECAs on choir days.
Primary choir members: Wednesday
Junior Choir: Wednesday
Treble choir: Tuesday

Child Pick-Up:
If you have not enrolled in the bus service, you must pick your child up following the course. For the safety of your child, we would like to ask that all parents or helpers pick up their children up on the 9th floor by 4:10pm.
Bus Service:
If you have already registered with the bus service, we offer a full bus service at 4:20 bringing your child home (Kowloon is a limited service). Refunds:
No refunds will be given for student illness or school closure due to inclement weather.
